Delray Beach seeking volunteers for boards
DELRAY BEACH — The city is seeking residents and business owners to volunteer and serve on four advisory boards and committees. They are:
Public Employees Relations Commission. Board members consider petitions regarding representation of employees, oversee union selections, when appropriate, certify collective bargaining agents, resolve unfair practice changes and perform related functions. Meetings are held on an as needed basis.
Board of Adjustment. Board members hear appeals from the decisions of the Chief Building Officer regarding variances involving zoning codes and noise codes as well as hear appeals regarding decisions of the Fire Marshall. Meetings are held as needed.
Boca Raton Aviation Advisory Committee. This Committee gives input regarding noise, noise mitigation and aircraft traffic patterns. Meetings are held every other month.
Nuisance Abatement Board. Members hear evidence relating to the existence of certain public nuisances on premises located in the City. Meetings are held as needed.
