Forkas joins board of Unicorn Children's Foundation

BOCA RATON — Unicorn Children’s Foundation has added one new board member, while announcing the return of two others.
Marleen Forkas joins the foundation’s board. Forkas was the first woman to graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Management Engineering Division. She is recognized for her 40-year career as a fashion designer and embroidery manufacturer as well as for her philanthropic efforts in South Florida.
Unicorn also announces the return of Dr. Rafael Cabrera and Michelle Yellin, who have renewed their membership on the board. They join Lori Cabrera; Elisabeth Dalfen; Eric Dorsky; Juliette Ezagui; Joanne Gabay; Madeline Hillsberg; Genevieve Murphy; Valeria Rosenbloom; and Jeannette Stark.
“Board members play a very crucial role in the growth and direction of our organization and in this capacity each director brings a unique talent that will enhance Unicorn Children’s Foundation ability to support programs and services for children and young adults with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, bipolar, and other learning disorders,” said Unicorn Executive Director Sharon Alexander.
