DELRAY BEACH — Delray Beach observed the first night of Hanukkah with a brief ceremony to light the first candle on the city menorah on the lawn at Old School Square. This was the second year the city conducted the ceremony. Andre Fladell donated the menorah to the city.

During the ceremony, a moment of silence was held in rememberance of Delray Police Officer Adam Rosenthal, who died earlier this year.
