BOCA RATON — Team Boca Blast opened its Women's Premier Soccer League season Friday with a scoreless tie against Sunshine Division rival Clermont Phoenix at Boca Raton High School. The game was interrupted at the 21-minute mark because of a lightning warning. Boca Blast's roster is made up largely of local women with college experience.

The Women's Premier Soccer League is the largest women's soccer league in the U.S. The next game for Team Boca is June 17 at Clermont.
