DELRAY BEACH — Tournament officials announced Friday that the top three ranked American men will be playing in the 21st annual Delray Beach International Tennis Championships in February.
John Isner, currently ranked No. 10 in the world, will join Andy Roddick, No. 21, and Mardy Fish 24, in the 2013 edition of the Delray tournament. All three have played at Delray in previous years.
Also returning to the Delray tournament: Bob and Mike Bryan, winners of the Olympic gold medal in doubles competition at the London Games.
The ITC begins Feb. 22 with Champions Tour play at the Delray Beach Tennis Center; ATP play begins on the 24th with qualifying matches.
Isner will headline the Feb. 26 evening lineup, while Roddick will be featured in the afternoon. The Bryans will be featured on the Feb. 27 daytime ticket.
"The 2013 tournament will mark the first time in our history where we will have the top three-ranked American singles players in our draw," tournament director Mark Baron said. "We're excited to be bringing back the wildly popular Bryan Brothers who are already legends in the sport. This is the just the beginning of an epic year for us."
Both Isner and Roddick lost to eventual tournament champion Kevin Anderson in 2011, Isner in the quarterfinals. Roddick, who won the 2003 U.S. Open and a former world No. 1, played in his first professional tournament at Delray in 2000.
Fish won the tournament in 2009, the only top-seeded player to win Delray in its history. Fish last appeared in Delray in 2011, losing to eventual champion Juan Martin del Potro. He is 19-7 all time in Delray Beach.
The Bryan Brothers won ITC titles in 2009 and 2010.
